New rules for payment of imports. BCRA Com. At 7375.
Estimates and industrial estimates:
Through the Com. To 7375, the BCRA establishes the following modifications until 10/31/2021 for the payment of imports of goods:
- 1. In the calculation of the limit in point 10.11.1, it is lowered from US$ 1,000,000.- to US$ 250,000.- therefore the quota that clients have been generally using for advance payments is reduced. and for payments of imports shipped or arriving before 7/1/2020.
- 2. When using point 10.11.2, the possibility of sight payments is eliminated. Demand payments for imports, that is, with shipped merchandise, will also be included in the same quantitative limitation of US$250,000 that advance payments must respect. Both advance and demand payments will be in the same situation, and must be added to calculate whether or not they exceed the aforementioned limit.
- 3. Payments made for point 10.11.2 do not add to the effects of the cap in point 10.11.1. Therefore, quota remains from point 10.11.1
- 4. The specific point for payment of imports with NCM BK is suspended, so the advance payment of BK follows the general rule, that is, it goes through 10.11.1 if there is space available.
- 5. Payments for medicines, supplies for their manufacture, goods related to health or sanitation that previously could be paid before shipment can now be paid under point 10.11.10 only once shipped, seen or deferred, but before having formalized the customs entry registration.
- 6. Reduces from US$50,000 to US$10,000 the figure from which Banks must notify the BCRA in advance when they enter the MULC to purchase higher figures. You must inform the BCRA, through your bank, at least 2 business days in advance. All expenses must be considered for anyconcept and in all banks that intend to access the MLC on the same day.
