SECTORS AND REGIONS:The sectoral and regional representatives of the Board of Directors expressed their concern about the possible creation of an additional rate aimed at companies throughout the country. In this regard, it was analyzed how a new increase in tax pressure on the formal sector of the economy will affect investment and the negative impact it will have on activity and employment. In the coming days, the Tax Policy Department and the CEU will study the scope of the measure and its impact on the different productive sectors.

ACCESS TO FOREIGN CURRENCY:it was reported on the efforts being carried out before the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) with the aim of boosting access to foreign currency to acquire key inputs for the production process , dependingn of the problems raised by the entity's partners. 

CIRCULAR ECONOMY. different sectors - paper, cardboard and general-purpose packaging, among others - reported on the difficulties experienced in the importation of inputs and recycled materials by the Ministry of the Environment. These impediments negatively impact local production and employment.  

FISCA CONSENSUSL: a report was presented that accounts for the distortions and impact on production and exports produced by the Gross Income Tax and the proliferation of municipal taxes throughout the country. country. 

ENERGY AGENDA: the Department of Energy of the UIA presented an analysis on the situation of the country's energy matrix and sharedacute; the work agenda for the coming months in the face of a very complex international energy supply scenario. Tomorrow, UIA authorities will meet with the Secretary of Energy of the Nation, Darío Martínez, and the secretariat team to address the sectoral agenda.

UIA AGENDA:  the president of the UIA, Daniel Funes de Rioja, reviewed the agenda of institutional activities of recent weeks. The intervention of Funes de Rioja during the “International Advocacy Caucus” (IAC) of the B20; the visit of the Minister of Science and Technology of the Nation, Daniel Filmus; and participation in the call for the Social Dialogue together with members of the national cabinet and representatives of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT), were some of the activities discussed.
