"Metal Makers": The presentation of the book that celebrates the history of the metallurgical industry of Rosario and the region
On the occasion of its 80th anniversary, which will be completed in 2023, the Association of Metallurgical Industries of Rosario (AIM) undertook an ambitious project in order to tell the story of the most important metalworking hub in Argentina. Last Friday, in an event that brought together more than 200 people, he presented Metal Makers. The event was attended by metallurgical industrialists, representatives of chambers and entities linked to the sector, as well as local and provincial government authorities.
The book, conceived as a tribute to the men and women who forged themetallurgy industry of Rosario and the region, rescues stories and images that reflect the effort and industrial vision of several generations, as well as as the impact of this sector on the structureproductive of the country.
The presentation was given by the former presidents of AIM, Roberto Cristiá (2022-2024) andMiguel Conde (2006-2010), together with the author of the book, José Boggione, who talked and explained the idea of capturing a piece of the metallurgical history of the region.
The meeting included the speech of the current president of AIM, Rafael Catalano, who spoke about the work of the association to accompany the present of the sector, the current challenges and the opportunities for the future, highlighting the value of teamwork and the importance of strengthening ties between companies, institutions and the community in general.
In addition, the event was attended by theMinister of Productive Development of Santa Fe, Gustavo Puccini, and the Secretary of Industrial Development, Guillermo Beccani,who expressed the importance of the industry for the province of Santa Fe. By the Municipality of Rosario,the book Metal Makers was declared of general interestin recognition of its contribution to the collective memory of the industrial community.
Metal Makers marks a milestone in the history of the association and in the recognition of the sector as a fundamental pillar of local, provincial and national development.
