Continuing with the readjustments to the structure of export duties and refunds that began last year, the national government, through Decree No. 302/2021, reduces the export duty on certain operations.
As of 05/09/2021, the export duty is reduced on exports carried out by MSMEs, with respect to the goods included in the NCM tariff positions detailed in the Annex that is part of the decree . The annual amount subject to tax relief, in terms of its FOB value, may not exceed the value of USD 500,000, inclusive. When the aforementioned amount is exceeded and up to the sum of USD 1,000,000, inclusive, of FOB value, an aliquot ofExport Right equivalent to 50% of the corresponding amount, according to its tariff position.
This measure does not cover operations carried out on behalf of and on behalf of third parties. MSMEs will be able to access the treatment provided for by this decree as long as the exports they have carried out in the immediately preceding calendar year have not exceeded the amount equivalent to USD 3,000,000 or they have not carried out exports in the aforementioned period of time.
MiPyMEs are understood to be those that at the time of accessing the benefit are registered in the Registry of MiPyMEs Companies and have their corresponding current MiPyME Certificate.
According to what was indicated during its announcement, this measure aims to boost the production of SMEs and the growth of value-added exports, which translates into more quality employment. With it you will benefitaacute; to almost 3,800 micro, small and medium-sized exporting companies in the industrial and agro-industrial sectors through the relief of export duties.
