CONCERN IN THE METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY OF ROSARIO DUE TO UNCERTAINTY IN WAGE NEGOTIATIONS
In the absence of a joint agreement between the UOM and entities in the sector, some employers take the initiative to guarantee the well-being of their workers.
Rosario, April 5, 2024.- The Association of Metallurgical Industrialists of Rosario expresses its concern about the lack of agreement in the joint negotiations in the sector. This uncertainty about the value that would correspond to February and March salaries is negatively affecting workers and companies in the metallurgical sector.
According to a survey we carried out among our associates, given the lack of certces in salary agreements, several employers have chosen to apply an increase of 20.6% for February salaries and 13.5% for March salaries. This measure reflects the sincere concern of metallurgical leaders to guarantee the well-being of their workers, to keep work teams cohesive and stable, even in the absence of a formal agreement.
From the AIM Rosario we emphasize the urgent need to reach a joint agreement between the Metallurgical Workers Union (UOM) and the business associations of the sector, to provide clarity and stability to both workers and businessmen.
