The Association of Metallurgical Industrialists of Rosario presents its Economic Activity Report of the Rosario Region, corresponding to February 2024 (Year 8 - No. 39).< /p>
The purpose of this publication is to prepare and present relevant information, in a systematic and updated manner, regarding the current and structural evolution of the local, regional and national metallurgical industry. Also, provide elements for the study of its main obstacles, problems and relevance in the Argentine productive sector.

Some indicators are:
In November 2023, the real turnover of the metallurgical sectors in Rosario evolved negatively: “Metals, metal products and machinery” fell by 19.5%, and “Vehicles and transport equipment” decreased by 38.9%. Only “Electronic components and electrical equipment” presented an improvement of 10.0% compared to the same month of the previous year.
The level of activity of the metallurgical industry in the province of Santa Fe presented a pronounced drop of 33.2% year-on-year in the month of December 2023.
After two years of recovery (2021-2022), in twelve months of 2023 metallurgical production in the province of Santa Fe faced a decreasenution of 5.6% in relation to the previous year.
The lower production in the metallurgical industry is based on difficulties in accessing imported inputs due to problems in paying foreign suppliers, lower orders due to the negative impact of the drought in the case of agricultural machinery, and the lower domestic demand for household appliances and general use machinery.
