The Association of Metallurgical Industrialists of Rosario (AIM) and the Metallurgical Workers Union (UOM) promotes a legislative project to declare Rosario as the national capital of the metallurgical industry . The initiative, presented in the Senate of the Nation by legislator Marcelo Lewandowski and with replica in the provincial legislature through deputy Miguel Rabbia, seeks to recognize the strategic role of the city in the development of the Argentine metallurgical industry.

Throughout the years, Rosario has established himself as a key pillar of the sector, concentrating the largest number of companies and metallurgical workers in the country.
